High Adventure Experience in Kempervennen, The Netherlands, September 2012

I played on the internet in my name and my housemate's and won, in his name, a one week's stay in Kempervennen. The weather was not too great, but while it was dry I wanted to try and be walking high in the sky. I sort of underestimated it, because once I was standing up there, it was so different from down there, but I took a deep breath and did it anyway. Francis took these few quick shots of me and then went to have a beer inside because it was quite cold, while I finished the whole tour up there. The next day I made a few more pictures of what he did not take. Another day I tried the Zip Wire, which was easier, quicker, than the High Adventure Experience.

Getting all the gear on
Not realizing yet what was to come
After a big breath, I found out I could do it
Rather than going back, I went on
If you don't push, you fall down
It was good to know Maike was behind me!
Francis was too late, so no picture of me zipping down, but one when the other lady drove next to me
and me letting myself down in the boat
This was the start of the Zip Wire
Since Francis went to drink beer, I made these pictures, of what I did, the next day when the sun was out
Wood and cords floating in the air, constantly going down, left or right, when you walk on them
Walking on nothing but cords that were constantly moving towards everywhere
Hard to see in between the trees
Some I could not photograph, because too much in between or on top of something
I must admit I was not at ease everywhere
Since I did the whole tour, I got my certificate

What a great story, Beatrice!  I'm always impressed when someone I know wins such things and it looks like it was a great time...  Well done!
