The cars of Havana, Cuba 2015
I joined Ombretta on her trip to Havana for the 2015 Contemporary Art Biennal because I have been waiting to visit Cuba for a very long time... The classic cars are everywhere... This album shows a selection of them.
Some of those cars are still very attractive and it's easy to foreseen some return back home...

I would agree with you Valter, except for the fact that the cost of such cars in Cuba is so prohibitively expensive. There will be those that are prepared to pay any price, but such sales will be rare, in my view. The other thing I suspect will happen is that as Cuba/US relations become normalized, the Cuban government will put some kind of restriction on classic car sales because they are so iconic to that island nation alone.

Most of these cars have replaced their American-made engines with Hyundai diesels... That and the leaded gas create a real pollution issue...
