We were supposed to start our first cycling tour ten days ago on Sunday, but overnight there were 10 cms of snow, so for the first time it got canceled, just like the other official Flemish cycling tour on that Sunday, the one on Saturday did take place though. Our bunch, we are just tourists. Yesterday March 5th, 2013, big article in the HLN newspaper about good bikes being stolen, that's why I rode a real cheap one, and since Francis cannot cycle anymore, I now use his, which is not very expensive either. So I do not have to worry about my bike being stolen! We just meet in a different place in Belgium somewhere every two weeks and then make a round of about 65 kms. Next Sunday it will only be 40, since it will be the first time of the year. Here are some pics of our former rides. Once a year we spend a three days holiday, mostly in the Netherlands since it is flat there : 65 kms each day for 3 days.
