Our coconut harvest!

Rick has a great tool that is an 8-foot long stick with a 'Y' yoke at the top.  You push it up to the place where the coconut attaches to the bunch and turn it vigorously... soon after a coconut is falling and you use your other hand to catch it so that it doesn't hit the ground and explode. Ombra and I got quite proficient in picking coconuts and harvested a good 2 dozen while we were here.  Coconut water is an excellent nutritional drink full of electrolytes for after-kiting - as well as for Coco Locos (coconut milk and rum) for cocktail hour! mmm big coconuts! Makes me think of the two different kinds the gardener in our hotel in Kenia picked out going up in the high trees for my niece Kim and me, so we could taste the difference. She being a health freak and loving everything natural, loved it even more than I did.
