The Battlefrog Obstacle Race Series hosted a warm up event in SoBe today as a test for the Veteran’s salute November 15 on Miami’s Historic Virginia Key Beach Park the weekend after Veteran’s Day. Obstacle racing is notorious for its mud; but in real SEAL training, sand plays a huge role. When BattleFrog comes to Miami’s Virginia Key Beach Park, you can be sure you will battle sand as you race from beach to sea grass through coastal hardwood hammocks. This one-day special from the BattleFrog will feature the 5K BullFrog race, the BullFrog Mile, and the Tadpole Dash for kids. There will be some of the most demanding obstacles in the arsenal, manned by Navy SEALs who will coach and cheer participants to victory.

While I actually thought about participating in today's event, I have to admit that I chickened out after seeing the course, being still in recovery mode from an intense cross fit class yesterday morning, so I ran back home (at least got my work out), grabbed the camera, hopped on the bike and got back in time to snap a few pics!
