Very good question! Several people asked me this one, but I do not know exactly. I was not wearing a watch and did not take my portable phone out of my backpack, since I was told there was no reach and quite honestly I was too busy watching, walking, talking. I realized afterwards that I did not change the length of my sticks either, whereas you wrote in your Berkeley-album that you are supposed to... I imagine it must have been about five hours. You eat and you stop talking to people... All I know is we only left at 10.30am and the last cable car in october would leave at what, maybe 4pm maybe 4.30, no idea. I did not once think of looking at the time...
