Kaki persimon tree
This tree produces kaki persimon fruit : here it is still green, but it's quite nice when ripe and orangy red. I just had one (November 7th, 2012) with my mother and my sister's oldest daughter Kim, who has been a civil engineer with a dredging company for five years. The first time I had these was in Israel, must have been around 1989 : they definitely need a lot of sun, then they are not sour. I imagine they grow in California too though I did not have any there. They grow in the South of France, not in Belgium that I know off : not enough sun.
