You actually swam amongst the wild dolphins as a child? Whaow!!! I had to pay to be able to swim with them, but then I suppose I did not risk anything (I was told not all of them are as nice as Flipper), since they were trained dolphins : it was around where you are heading right now! Well not Miami, but on one of the Key Islands. I believe it was called Islamorada. Is that possible? It took them quite a while, not half a day, but at least an hour to explain to us all we were allowed and not allowed to do to the dolphins. Afterwards came the real fun : swimming with them and seeing them move next to you in and underneath the water. I loved it so much and you could touch them, carress them and they seemed to quite like it. Then one of them would draw us through the water and then two and they gave us kisses etc. wonderful time :we were like kids having the time of our lives! I still have a video of this.

Nothing better than jumping into the water with a mask and watching these creatures up close and personal... The same goes for the so-called Killer Whales from up around my childhood home on Vancouver Island. Awesome creatures!
